Paula Fuchs, MCP, LPCC
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Vancouver, B.C., earned in 2012. With nearly 15 years of experience, I have worked across a wide range of settings, including inpatient hospitals, schools, outpatient and private practice, corporate employee assistance programs, and grief centers.
My therapeutic style is authentic, creative, and direct—balanced with warmth and humor. I value honest communication and work to gently challenge barriers so clients can move toward meaningful insight and progress. I bring structure to sessions while maintaining a flexible, holistic, and intuitive approach, integrating research-based practices to develop strategies that truly fit each client’s life.
I work with individuals ages 5 and up, supporting concerns such as trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, dreamwork, perinatal and postpartum experiences, life transitions, and traumatic brain injury.
Outside of my work, I feel most grounded when I’m outdoors—whether walking, hiking, camping, or canoeing. I also enjoy building and creating, from woodworking and sewing to painting and homesteading. Caring for my dog, family, and ducks brings me joy, and I find ongoing inspiration in the natural rhythm of life.
