Tanya Lambert, MS, LPCC

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a board-approved Clinical Supervisor for the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy (LPC and LPCC track licensure). I hold a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College.

For the past 11 years, I have worked at the Catholic Charities Intensive Outpatient Day Treatment Program in Elk River, Minnesota, providing group, individual, and family therapy services.

My current focus is on trauma work and supporting individuals who experience intense emotional responses to life’s challenges. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based approach for children and adolescents, as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

I primarily practice from a person-centered and cognitive behavioral framework, while also incorporating solution-focused strategies and other evidence-based approaches as needed to best support each client’s unique goals.

My areas of experience and training include ADHD, life transitions and adjustment, anxiety and stress, behavioral concerns, depression, emotional dysregulation, family conflict, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ support, parenting, self-esteem and self-exploration, and trauma.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy watching my daughter play rugby, spending time with my grandson, traveling, gardening, and baking.
